For an inexpensive and decorative time line, use the pre-made borders available at a educators supply store. Use one with a very repetitive pattern and use it like a wall paper border in the same room that you have school. Then add your dates and you are ready to go. I found that a good spacing for dates in the time line is as follows:
This should be adjusted to your learning time line. I photocopy photos of my children and put them on the time line, on the years that they were born. So I start yearly in 1985, because we were married then. But If you want more detailed dating, for instance, in the 1800's because you are studying composers, you can add more dates. As described above this time line used 105 repetitive patterns. |
