Picture Windows
I love the way all the stores have their
windows painted with designs at Christmas time. Here is a way to have your
own little artists do some for you at Christmas time or any time.
- A nice big window
- Dry tempera paint (powder)
- dish soap
- brushes
- paper towels
Mix dry tempera paint with enough dish soap
so that it is like heavy cream. If you can only get liquid tempera, go
ahead and mix dish soap in but it will be watery. Dry does work better.
Cover any woodwork and the windowsill with masking tape and paper and let
your artists go to work. When you’re ready to remove the artwork wipe it
off with a dry paper towel. A wet one makes a big soapy mess.
